Portland Senior Photos

First off, congratulations on making it this far! I know it probably hasn’t been easy. Your senior year of high school probably felt like it would never get here. I know how important and exciting this time of your life is and I can’t wait to help you document it with photos that you and your family will appreciate for years to come.

Your senior photos will be fun, candid, and natural and full of natural light and color. I’ll work with you to build a session that helps tell your story and represents who you are in way that feels genuine and never cheesy.

My Approach to taking High School Senior Photos

I know that being in front of a camera isn’t always the most comfortable place to be (that’s why I’m always behind it!). I have over a decade of experience photographing people and I’ll work with you to feel at ease and give you plenty of direction to help you find poses that feel natural, genuine, and never forced or fake. I’ll work with you to a find a location that feels right and work out when the best time to shoot is. I’ll help provide feedback on outfits, prop ideas, or whether or not to bring your dog (obviously, yes!).

Senior Photo Locations in Portland, OR

We’re lucky to be surrounded by so much beautiful nature and inspiring scenery here in Portland. You don’t have to go far to find a great location for senior photos. Whether you want to shoot in downtown Portland and have an urban, city setting or if you want to be surrounded by nature in Forest Park.

Some of my favorite Portland locations for senior portraits are Mt. Tabor, the Pearl District, Powell Butte, Sellwood Riverfront Park / Oaks Bottom, or the Portland Waterfront. Looking for something a bit more adventurous? I’m down. I love shooting out on the coast, in the mountains, or at the bottom of a waterfall. I want your senior photos to take place at a location that feels like you.

Portland Senior Photo Deadlines

Whether you’re ahead of the pack and want to get your session done early or if you’re a little late to the party, my schedule is flexible and my turnaround for photos is quick. I try my best to stay on top of the senior photo deadlines for each school and have listed some below. Most Portland high schools have deadlines in the fall of your senior year starting as early as mid September but it all depends on your school. If you let me know when your school’s deadline is I can let you know what a realistic time frame is. My standard turnaround for senior portraits is 2 to 3 weeks.

How much are Senior Portraits?

Senior portrait pricing will depend on a couple of factors. Your photo package can be as simple as getting that one “yearbook photo” or you might want a photoshoot experience that captures your personality, your hobbies, or even your group of friends. Below are my standard senior portrait packages as well as optional add on’s.

Interested in taking photos somewhere outside of Portland? Add in some adventure time and we can shoot at Cannon Beach, go for a hike near Mt. Hood, or count the waterfalls at Silver Falls State Park. For locations within 2 hours of Downtown Portland.
