GETTING READY
We focus our getting ready photos on the final touches and candid moments shared between you, your friends, and family. These images help tell the story of the early part of your wedding day, capturing the emotions, anticipation, and atmosphere leading up to your ceremony. We don’t necessarily need to photograph the entire hair and makeup process to capture meaningful, authentic moments.
First Looks
While not a requirement, we love photographing first looks because they create a beautiful moment for the two of you to come together and have some time mostly alone before the busyness of the day begins. It’s also a perfect opportunity to privately exchange your vows. Seeing each other before the ceremony can free up your timeline for some early family photos, allowing you to spend more of your cocktail hour enjoying time with your guests.
Wedding Ceremonies
The anchoring moment of the day and a time when a photojournalistic approach truly shines. We make sure to document your ceremony from every angle, moving quickly and quietly to capture a mix of tighter frames of the two of you together, wide overviews that show the full scene, and candid moments of your family and friends watching and taking it all in.
Details
From wedding dress details and rings to table settings and florals, we know couples spend a lot of time thoughtfully planning the little details that make a big impact on how your wedding day looks and feels. We make sure to document those details so you can remember all the thought and care that went into creating your day.
Family Photos
These are some of the most important photos of the day and often the ones that end up being printed and framed. We’ll work with you ahead of your wedding day to create a list of groupings, allowing us to move through this portion of the day quickly and efficiently so you can get back to enjoying your celebration.
Couple Portraits
When building your timeline, we always make sure to include a couple of moments throughout the day for portraits of just the two of you. This is when we focus on individual portraits of each of you, along with plenty of photos of you together. We aim to capture a blend of candid moments and more formal portraits. If we’re doing a first look, we’ll typically photograph some initial couple portraits then, and another set later in the day, usually around sunset.
Receptions
Our reception coverage is candid and focused on documenting you and your guests celebrating, connecting, and having a great time. As part of your timeline, we’ll make sure to be there for the toasts, formal dances, and all the fun candid moments of everyone letting loose once the dance floor opens up.
