Growing up I always loved taking photos. I loved picking up my disposable camera prints at the drugstore (remember the ones that did rad panorama prints?!) I started taking photos more seriously when I was a kid in middle school. My junior high had a darkroom where I developed blurry black and white photos of my chocolate lab. Practice makes perfect! I stuck with it and 20 years later I'm still taking photos and I still feel like a kid.
In 2006, I started a small photography studio in the Bay Area with my best friend (see e&b photography). I documented countless weddings and photographed families, high school seniors, and small business owners. In 2018, I moved to Portland to be near my family and watch my niece and nephews grow up. When I’m not working, I’m usually spending time with them, riding bikes, making pizza, and growing my indoor houseplant jungle.
I love photography and I really do feel lucky that I get to do something creative and something that I love as a job. I love working with people and making them feel comfortable in front of the camera. I’ve always loved looking at old family photos and remembering moments and I get really happy when I think about my clients looking at the photos that I’ve taken for them.
