What do you like photographing?

We are always taking photos and pretty much enjoy shooting most things. When Chris was first starting out he didn’t want to specialize because he wanted to do it all! Nowadays we mostly photograph weddings, families, high school seniors, and corporate headshots. Have a project you need photos of? Let us know and we’ll tell you if we can help!

ARE YOU AVAILABLE TO SHOOT OUR WEDDING?

We hope so! Please fill out our contact form and tell us a little bit about yourself and your wedding. We will check our availability and schedule a call with you to chat about your wedding plans.  We’re oftentimes booked six months to a year in advance.

We’re available to photograph weddings throughout Portland, the Pacific Northwest, and beyond. We’re regularly in California visiting friends and family and love to travel!

Who is your ideal client?

You! Our clients don’t need to fit any sort of mold. Everyone deserves beautiful photos that celebrate their life and love and they deserve to feel comfortable and supported while doing so.

WHAT DISTINGUISHES YOU AND YOUR WORK FROM OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS?

We think there are a couple of things. We’re very easy to work with. We arrive at your event with a lighthearted, easy going approach and an excitement to work with you and your friends and family.

Secondly, the images we create are full of light and vivid color. We want our images to be timeless and true to the moment in which we shoot them and not be dated by creative trends.

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT BEING A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER?

Oh man. Being able to take photos for a living makes us so happy and shooting weddings is one of the best workplaces ever. We love being part of such an exciting day and having an opportunity to capture details and moments that a couple will cherish for a lifetime. Weddings are such a wonderful, happy day and we’re so grateful that it’s our job to be part of that.

HOW MANY YEARS HAVE YOU BEEN SHOOTING WEDDINGS?

Chris has been photographing weddings for over 15 years. He started in the Bay Area with e&b photography, a partnership between him and his best friend. Jenny joined almost a decade ago and these days we shoot primarily in Portland.

DO YOU WORK WITH SECOND SHOOTERS?

Yes. That is one benefit of working with a husband and wife team! If you book an 8 hour package you will generally always work with Chris and Jenny. While Chris shoots many events solo having a second shooter for getting ready, cocktail hour, and other moments can really help.

DO YOU RELEASE YOUR RAW FILES?

No. To us, delivering unedited files would be delivering an unfinished product. The images you see on our website are not only a result of our photographic eye but also our editing style and together these complete the vision we have for each photo. That being said, we want to give you as many photos as we can and we’re always happy to take a look at your images again if you feel like we missed something.

DO YOU USE PHOTOSHOP?

Minimally. We take photos that are honest and authentic. While we occasionally touch up blemishes and make minor tweaks to flyaway hairs, etc. We don’t “airbrush” skin or erase family members out of frames.
